About The Position

You’ll play a hands-on role supporting the build, replacement, and optimization of intermediate fast-paced natural gas pipelines. As an Early Career Project Engineer, you will be involved in the full project lifecycle. This includes developing engineering plans and system models. You will coordinate construction and work closely with partners. You will collaborate with experienced professionals to build safe, reliable energy infrastructure. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution, or equivalent accreditation coupled with having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
  • 2-4 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings and plan sets, along with applicable codes, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management abilities, with the capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong decision-making and communication skills, including effective oral, written, and technical writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality, and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives.

  • Preferred fields: Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for engineering design, project proposals and estimates, materials procurement, planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects on the intermediate high pressure (IHP) natural gas systems and related facilities.
  • Provide engineering support to the Inspection group.
  • Run pipe network analysis using modeling software to determine sizing and composition of natural gas mains and service lines. Also, determine system needs and requirements for projects.
  • Perform calculations including gas system pressures, capacities, and economic feasibility.
  • Manage projects, including preparing material quantities, price schedules, material estimates, requests for bid (RFB), reviewing bids and contract documents, managing change orders, and construction observation.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, property owners, environmental, contractors, and other key project collaborators.
  • Gather, compile, and analyze information and data used in engineering tasks.
