About The Position

As an Early Career Business Analyst at Gainwell, you will help use technology to improve health and human services outcomes. You will work with a team of business analysts to understand client needs, document requirements and business processes, and support the development and testing of technology solutions. The role offers an opportunity to build technical skills in tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Visio while working at the intersection of technical and non-technical teams. This is a fully remote opportunity.

Requirements

Basic understanding of the software development life cycle and software such as Microsoft Office.
Basic analytical and problem-solving skills to assess business needs and triage bugs and defects.
Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in a professional work environment.
Interest in working at the intersection of technical and non-technical teams and learning about business processes and re-engineering.
Ability to work in a team environment with other professionals.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business analysts to make client recommendations that can improve business processes.
Translate client business needs and requirements for technical teams into clear, non-technical language.
Help analyze and document system requirements and business processes.
Build basic conceptual data and process models to quantify the potential impact of system changes.
Execute and analyze basic test case scenarios from existing test plans to verify client requirements are reflected in system design.
Participate in technical reviews and inspections with senior leaders to ensure the final product meets client expectations.
Develop technical skills in software applications such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Visio.
