Analyst, Early Career (Full Stack)

Affirm•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Affirm is hiring multiple Early Career Analysts across its Risk & Analytics organization. Analysts will be matched to a team based on their interests, experience, strengths, and business needs. Potential placements include Point of Sale, Direct to Consumer/Card, Fraud, Core Analytics, Servicing and Payments, and International Expansion. The Risk & Analytics organization partners with teams including Machine Learning, Product, Engineering, Capital Markets, and Commercial to help grow Affirm responsibly by optimizing approval, conversion, losses, and profitability. Early Career Analysts use data to understand business performance, identify opportunities, and support better decisions across the customer and merchant lifecycle. Under guidance from senior analysts and managers, they execute scoped analytical work, learn consumer lending fundamentals, and use SQL, Python, and modern analytical tools to optimize strategies, monitor performance, and turn complex data into actionable insights. The role also involves learning to navigate market changes and using AI tools effectively while verifying their outputs. The early-career program pairs participants with a tenured Affirmer. Participants can collaborate in person three days a week from the New York City or San Francisco office, with remote work also available. After one year, participants may remain hybrid, work remotely, or work from an office. Affirm describes itself as a remote-first company; some roles may occasionally require office attendance, and new hires are invited to in-person onboarding.
