Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental or chemical engineering or an aligned scientific discipline.
  • Strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension.
  • Experienced in air quality permitting and air quality compliance in Texas.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, if applicable.
  • Advanced degree in environmental or chemical engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of air quality permitting and compliance experience with an environmental consulting firm.
  • Experience with air quality modeling (SCREEN3, AERSCREEN, and AERMOD).
  • Experienced in air quality permitting and air quality compliance in Louisiana.
  • Experience in environmental compliance services (stormwater, spill planning, hazardous waste, etc.) and compliance auditing.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing air emissions inventories and environmental compliance reports
  • Preparing emissions calculations and air permit applications
  • Conducting regulatory analyses related to federal, state, and local air regulations regarding Clean Air Act, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs), and New Source Performance Standards (NSPS)
  • Conducting air dispersion modeling analysis
  • Performing analyses related to air pollution control systems and source monitoring and measurement requirements
  • Providing environmental compliance and litigation support services, such as compliance audits and reviews, hazardous waste and material management
  • Supporting environmental permitting and compliance services in related disciplines, such as those driven by the Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, and National Environmental Policy Act.
