About The Position

Responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, coordination, and support for the Process Technician team to ensure consistent performance, quality, and operational readiness to produce quality products in a timely manner. This role involves continuous ownership of daily production performance of various SMT and electronics manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to interact with cross-functional teams professionally and respectfully, adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and possess strong leadership and team-building skills. A high individual level of quality with proven contributions to overall product quality is essential, along with proficiency in operating department’s automatic equipment, including testers.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or greater preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Understand and operate complex computer controlled equipment.
  • Experience with SMT production operations.
  • Manage line changeovers between production runs.
  • Proficiently operate a PC and various programs like Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with others within the company, as well as outside vendors.
  • Ability to understand and utilize information from data sheets.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, rotate, and/or reach throughout an entire shift.
  • Must be able to accurately handle and assemble small parts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and working lead for the Process Technician team.
  • Assign, coordinate, and monitor daily tasks to ensure production goals and labor standards are met.
  • Provide on-the-floor coaching, guidance, and technical support to technicians during production runs.
  • Support the leadership team by communicating team performance, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead by example in quality, professionalism, and adherence to company policies.
  • Assist in onboarding, training, and cross-training new and existing technicians across all processes.
  • Help maintain a positive, collaborative team environment and proactively address interpersonal or workflow issues.
  • Determine issues and potential problems with equipment and provide data-driven corrective actions.
  • Maintain files (spreadsheet or database) of problems.
  • Willing and able to train others in all department processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
