About The Position

Reed City Middle School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable E-Sports Coach for the upcoming seasonal period. The coach will lead and develop an e-sports team, organize practices and competitions, and foster a positive and inclusive environment for participants. The role also includes communicating with players, parents, and school administration, staying current with developments in e-sports, and assisting with events and community outreach.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of popular e-sports titles and their competitive scenes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and parents.
• Ability to motivate and inspire high school students.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the competitive season.
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check as required by the school district.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in competitive gaming or e-sports coaching.
• Background in education or coaching.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs to enhance players’ skills and teamwork.
• Organize and oversee team practices in a structured and productive environment.
• Prepare the team for competitions through strategy development and game analysis.
• Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, respect, and collaboration.
• Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration about team activities and progress.
• Stay updated on trends and developments in the e-sports industry.
• Assist in organizing e-sports events, tournaments, and community outreach initiatives.
