About The Position

Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative Middle School Dive Coach. This support staff coaching position is located at Milford High School. The coach instructs athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training needed to support individual and team success. The position includes other duties assigned by the Athletic Director and may involve extended time and risk of injury.

Requirements

• Playing experience at the high school or college level is required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be high school graduates.
• CPR certification is required for the season.
• Ability to speak and write effectively.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

• Coaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training.
• Provide proper safeguards for the maintenance and protection of assigned equipment and sites.
• Perform duties assigned by the Athletic Director.
• Instill in each player respect for equipment and school property.
• Design and implement clinics to promote the sport.
• Schedule practices, clinics, camps, and competitions.
• Continue professional growth by attending seminars and clinics.
• Maintain discipline and work to increase morale and cooperation.
