About The Position

Reed City Middle School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable E-Sports Coach for the upcoming seasonal period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in competitive gaming and a desire to mentor and develop high school students' skills in e-sports. This role involves coaching a team, organizing practices and competitions, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.

Requirements

• Previous experience in competitive gaming or e-sports coaching is preferred.
• Strong understanding of popular e-sports titles and their competitive scenes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and parents.
• Ability to motivate and inspire high school students to achieve their best.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the competitive season.
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check as required by the school district.

Nice To Haves

• A background in education or coaching is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs to enhance players' skills and teamwork.
• Organize and oversee team practices, ensuring a structured and productive environment.
• Prepare the team for competitions, including strategy development and game analysis.
• Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and collaboration.
• Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and progress.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the e-sports industry.
• Assist in the organization of events, tournaments, and community outreach initiatives related to e-sports.
