About The Position

This role combines knowledge of mechanical technology with electrical and electronic circuits to install, operate, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic/mechanical systems. Job tasks involve both working with engineers to develop electrical/mechanical systems and assembly line production work. Tasks will be performed with limited guidance from higher classified technicians.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of formal technical training (via military or civilian technical schools) required.
Minimum of 7 years of electrical or mechanical experience required.

Responsibilities

Perform difficult manufacturing assignments under minimum supervision
Align, fit, or assemble component parts to complete a system
Assemble and repair hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies
Test and troubleshoot Electro-mechanical assemblies for proper operation
Read manufacturing outlines for electronic products, read schematics, read technical drawings
Understand technical operating, service or repair manuals
Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings — Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems
Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material — Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
Develop and train lower classified employees as required
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
