About The Position

This role involves data entry, shipping, and general operational duties for an online sales business. The associate will be responsible for accurately identifying and preparing merchandise for shipment, determining the best shipping methods, and ensuring compliance with carrier guidelines. The position also includes training others on job tasks, maintaining attendance, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic computer experience on Windows Based software.
Effective writing skills, good grammar, and proper English.
Ability to work independently while promoting a team concept.
Flexibility in a multi-duty environment.
Detail and organizational skills.
Ability to bend, stretch, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to stand for the entire shift.
Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, fumes, dust, etc.

Responsibilities

Read descriptions in detail to find merchandise from inventory.
Record merchandise details including name, size, description, and weight.
Recommend items for auction, including pricing and descriptions based on research.
Pull all sold orders.
Properly package each item.
Determine the best method of shipping and associated fees.
Complete shipping following UPS, FedEx, or USPS guidelines.
Monitor packing supplies.
Monitor the completion of daily shipments.
Follow through on any UPS, FedEx, or USPS tracking as needed.
Work one-on-one with individuals to teach job tasks.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Perform all other duties as assigned and trained.
Ensure documentation and compliance with CARF standards.
Maintain applicable safety standards, rules, and regulations.
Have S.M.A.R.T objectives to drive performance and improve Goodwill's value to the community.
Work with integrity and provide exemplary customer services to internal and external stakeholders.
Have key metrics that drive performance taking a leadership role in maximizing the social and financial return of the community resources invested in Goodwill.
Utilize the resources of the organization in an efficient and effective manner.
