About The Position

The E-Commerce Director for Pet Nutrition is a member of the Canadian leadership team and is responsible for leading the One Demand E-comm organization and shaping the digital growth agenda across Pureplay partners. This role oversees end‑to‑end business ownership for Amazon and Chewy, drives portfolio and channel pack strategy, leads retail media effectiveness, and ensures a Perfect Digital Store experience across platforms. The Director will partner cross‑functionally to accelerate profitable growth, strengthen brand equity online, and unlock new demand opportunities in service of the ambition to win and grow share in the dynamic and fast-evolving online pet care landscape.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably a BA/BS in Marketing or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of experience in E‑Commerce, Digital Marketing, Category Management, or related commercial roles within the CPG Industry.
  • Proven track record managing Amazon, Chewy, or other Pureplay businesses.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience managing customer P&L performance including forecasting, trade planning, and margin management.
  • Experience leading & developing high‑performing teams and working in a matrixed environment.
  • Knowledge of retail media platforms (Amazon Ads, Chewy Media) and digital marketing & retail media fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the One Demand E-Commerce team with clear strategic direction, capability building, and talent development.
  • Own the full P&L performance for Amazon & Chewy including forecasting, planning, and growth delivery.
  • Develop and execute customer‑specific business plans aligned with overall Pet Nutrition brand and category strategies.
  • Define the Pureplay‑led growth agenda, identifying whitespace, emerging trends, and category opportunities.
  • Drive portfolio strategy and channel‑optimized pack development, ensuring offerings meet digital shopper needs and platform economics.
  • Partner with Marketing, R&D, Supply, and Finance to bring new innovation and channel‑specific solutions to life.
  • Lead the retail media strategy across Amazon, Chewy, and other platforms to maximize ROI and accelerate traffic & conversion.
  • Oversee the planning, activation, and optimization of retail media investments, leveraging data‑driven insights and full‑funnel measurement.
  • Collaborate with media agency & Amazon Ads teams to ensure cohesive digital activation aligned to portfolio strategy.
  • Own the Perfect Digital Store framework and deployment across online partners, ensuring excellence in content, search, ratings & reviews, availability.
  • Continuously analyze platform performance and shopper behavior to create actionable insights and optimization plans.
  • Leverage digital tools & AI capability to drive the Perfect Digital Store agenda and enhance content effectiveness.
  • Serve as the strategic connector between Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance.
  • Influence senior stakeholders on investment needs, priorities, and strategic choices rooted in data and customer insights.
  • Champion a digital‑first mindset and elevate e‑commerce acumen across the broader organization.
