Requirements

No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED Preferred.
The ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with co-workers, customers, and management.
Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Complex reasoning and decision-making skills are required.

Nice To Haves

The ability to type 40+ WPM is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure manifests align with items as they arrive at the facility.
Load and unload containers. Organize and transport products to appropriate areas.
Identify high-value, unique, vintage, antique, or collectible items to be sold through online marketplaces.
Make an initial decision if the item is complete and free of significant cosmetic or physical damage and test functionality. Unacceptable items are put in the appropriate container.
Accurately scan merchandise to track the chain of custody.
Maintain an acceptable Accept to Reject ratio for incoming donations. Categorize reject reasons appropriately. Effectively communicate reject reasoning with the retail department.
Prepare the production station before and clean the station after every shift.
Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership and works cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
Utilize safe work practices through awareness and observation and contribute to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
Safeguard agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Report any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
All other duties as assigned.
