MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional E-Commerce Collectibles Quality Control Associate to join our E Commerce - Blue Springs team! Requirements

  • No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED Preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with co-workers, customers, and management.
  • Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
  • Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Complex reasoning and decision-making skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to type 40+ WPM is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure manifests align with items as they arrive at the facility.
  • Load and unload containers. Organize and transport products to appropriate areas.
  • Identify high-value, unique, vintage, antique, or collectible items to be sold through online marketplaces.
  • Make an initial decision if the item is complete and free of significant cosmetic or physical damage and test functionality. Unacceptable items are put in the appropriate container.
  • Accurately scan merchandise to track the chain of custody.
  • Maintain an acceptable Accept to Reject ratio for incoming donations. Categorize reject reasons appropriately. Effectively communicate reject reasoning with the retail department.
  • Prepare the production station before and clean the station after every shift.
  • Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership and works cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
  • Utilize safe work practices through awareness and observation and contribute to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
  • Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
  • Safeguard agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Report any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
  • Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
