The Dyslexia/Reading interventionist works under the direct supervision of the building principal, in conjunction with the Director of Student Services to ensure continuity of reading initiatives, programs, interventions, and common language across the district. A Dyslexia/Reading interventionist is an individual who has deep knowledge of and skill in research/evidence-based practices for teaching reading. The interventionist provides targeted reading instruction to students who have been diagnosed with dyslexia or who have demonstrated characteristics of dyslexia, as well as struggling readers in need of Tier 3 remediation.
