About The Position
This position is Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7am. The Dyeing Operator I is responsible for monitoring the dyeing process, ensuring proper dye connections and pressure, and identifying quality issues in the carpet.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GE
- Experience in carpet manufacturing preferred
Responsibilities
- Check tips and jets under Chromojet using test box.
- Replace dirty tips and jets as needed using tip pliers.
- Continuously monitor the dyeing process.
- Coordinate with Dye Pump Operator during Chromojet changeovers.
- Ensure that all dye lines are connected to the proper tank and head number using Chromojet set up sheet.
- Ensure that all colors are loaded in the correct heads and that the dye pressure is set to the specification listed on Chromojet set up sheet.
- Help Operator perform start-up duties when needed.
- Ensure that all pumps are working properly during run.
- Monitor the Web guide to ensure that the carpet is in the correct position to be dyed properly.
- Monitor carpet for any streaks or other off quality issues.
