About The Position
This position is responsible for operating the coater at top efficiency, controlling the latex adhesive and Precoat process by LCS HMI to ensure proper application. The operator will also ensure the carpet is dry at the proper back temperature, set Coater Speed, operate the Main Tenter and End Dam Guides, and monitor all Coater Alarms. The work shift is an 8-hour non-rotating shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11pm-7am.
Requirements
- Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, stoop, and climb steps.
- Must participate in group stretching prior to shift.
- Communication is important with all employees on the line.
- Must be applicable to all JHA’s.
Responsibilities
- Operate the coater at top efficiency.
- Control the latex adhesive and Precoat process by LCS HMI to ensure proper application.
- Make sure the carpet is dry at the proper back temperature.
- Set Coater Speed, Operate Main Tenter and End Dam Guides, and Monitor all Coater Alarms.
- Communicate with all employees on the line.
- Alert Supervisor of potential issues with the equipment.
- Be applicable to all JHA’s.
- Use extreme caution when changing the tenter brushes.
