About The Position

This position is Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7am. The Dyeing Operator I is responsible for monitoring the dyeing process, coordinating with the Dye Pump Operator, ensuring correct dye line connections and color loading, and monitoring carpet quality. This role also involves assisting with start-up duties and ensuring all pumps are working properly during the run. The operator must also monitor the Web guide to ensure correct carpet positioning for proper dyeing and check for any streaks or off-quality issues.

Requirements

High school diploma or GE
Experience in carpet manufacturing preferred

Responsibilities

Check tips and jets under Chromojet using test box.
Replace dirty tips and jets as needed using tip pliers.
Continuously monitor the dyeing process.
Coordinate with Dye Pump Operator during Chromojet changeovers.
Ensure that all dye lines are connected to the proper tank and head number using Chromojet set up sheet.
Ensure that all colors are loaded in the correct heads and that the dye pressure is set to the specification listed on Chromojet set up sheet.
Help Operator perform start-up duties when needed.
Ensure that all pumps are working properly during run.
Monitor the Web guide to ensure that the carpet is in the correct position to be dyed properly.
Monitor carpet for any streaks or other off quality issues.
