DVM Student Externship - Candlewood Animal Hospital
About The Position
Candlewood Animal Hospital is seeking compassionate, team-oriented, and communicative 3rd and 4th-year veterinary students to participate in an externship program. This program offers real-world experience to enhance education. The hospital has been serving pets and their owners since 1979, focusing on preventative care, health advice, and extending pets' lives. They work with animal welfare organizations and have a relationship with a 24-hour care facility for emergencies and advanced specialty care. The hospital is fully equipped with in-house diagnostics, digital radiography, ultrasound, an oxygen cage, and Phovia light therapy. They are PENNHIP certified, trained in pet rehabilitation, recognized as a Cat Friendly practice, and have received the Heart of the Bulldog Award.
Requirements
- Must be a DVM Veterinary Student from an AVMA Accredited Institution.
- 3rd or 4th-year veterinary student.
- Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator.
- Connecticut Resident.
