DVM Student Externship - Candlewood Animal Hospital
About The Position
Candlewood Animal Hospital is seeking compassionate, team-oriented, and communicative 3rd and 4th-year veterinary students for a paid externship. This opportunity is designed to enhance your education through real-world experience in a dedicated animal hospital that has been serving pets and their owners since 1979. We focus on comprehensive care from early life through to extending pets' lives as long as possible, working closely with owners to provide sensible advice and support. We also collaborate with animal welfare organizations and a 24-hour care facility for specialized needs. Our hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostics, digital radiography, ultrasound, an oxygen cage, a portable anesthesia machine, and Phovia light therapy. We are PENNHIP certified, trained in pet rehabilitation, recognized as a Cat Friendly practice, and have received the Heart of the Bulldog Award.
Requirements
- Must be a DVM Veterinary Student from an AVMA Accredited Institution.
- Connecticut Residents
- 3+ 4th Year Veterinary Students
- Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator
