Under the direction of the Cargo Manager, the Duty Manager is responsible for managing Cargo activities effectively and profitably by providing a safe and quality product, covering a range of services. Requirements

3 years of relevant experience in the Cargo industry, warehouse management.
Relevant experience in personnel management.
Excellent communication skills (interpersonal)
Languages: French/English (bilingual), oral and written.
Eligible to work in Canada with an open, valid work permit.
Valid Driver’s License (mandatory)
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Leadership ability.
Customer focus and quality awareness.
Ability to deal with conflict.
Available and flexible to work various shifts (day, evening, night, weekend, and holidays) according to operational requirements.
Available and flexible to occasionally work at the YMX (Mirabel airport) location by operational needs.

Responsibilities

Accountable for daily Cargo operations, efficiently managing staff to reduce dependence on overtime.
Maintain and improve customer and company safety and quality standards.
Maintain good relations with customers and airport authorities.
Manage and control all staff assignments.
Hold daily briefings with all levels of management.
Coach and train all employees to effectively improve operations.
Ensure workforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
Participate in the disciplinary and grievance process with labor relations.
Ensure that incidents/accident reports are completed in an adequate and timely manner.
Other duties as assigned.
