About The Position

Language Trainers is an international language training company seeking a freelance Dutch language tutor for a client in Chicago. This is a part-time, freelance position for a general language course. The format is two-to-one, with a total of 20 hours (10 sessions of 2 hours each). The lessons will take place at Harold Washington Library, located at 400 S State St, Chicago, IL (60605). The students are a 30-year-old couple at a beginner level, motivated by a potential move to the Netherlands. Sessions are scheduled once per week, either on Tuesdays or Fridays after 5 pm. The start date is as soon as possible. The schedule and location may be flexible based on availability, and the hourly rate is negotiable.

Requirements

• Native Dutch speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Valid work permit/visa.
• Live within 20 miles of Harold Washington Library, Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

• Provide customized Dutch language training to a couple.
• Conduct lessons at Harold Washington Library or a flexible location.
• Adapt teaching to beginner level students.
• Meet with students once per week on Tuesdays or Fridays after 5 pm.
• Deliver a total of 10x 2-hour sessions.
