About The Position

Togetherhood is expanding to Boston and seeking enthusiastic instructors to teach Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) and other enrichment classes to K-12 students. Togetherhood is a marketplace connecting talented instructors with schools and communities seeking high-quality enrichment programs. The mission is to "infuse every community with high quality enrichment and education." Instructors are encouraged to share their passion and utilize their own lesson plans and curriculum.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching school-age children
  • Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
  • Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Brings your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
  • Cooperative, supportive, flexible
  • Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
  • Appreciates support and clear expectations
  • Resume showcasing relevant teaching experience (or other relevant experience/training if formal teaching experience is lacking)

Responsibilities

  • Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
  • Create memorable experiences for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for storytelling, collaboration, gaming, and D&D
  • Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
  • Help children understand why your role playing games are so wonderful and how it's helped shape you as a person
