About The Position

This role requires experience in delivering materials and safely transporting passengers. Responsibilities include preparing, loading, unloading, operating, and cleaning equipment, as well as maintaining driving records. The position also involves operating dump trucks and water trucks for transporting dirt, gravel, materials, and light equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience driving on roads, mechanical, industrial or refinery maintenance experience transporting material and passengers.
  • General knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Must be able to pass equipment written test and visual observation of operating equipment.
  • Must Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate Truck and Bus endorsements required for the position.
  • Must have experience in Scheduling, Travel Logistics, Verbal Communication, Customer Focus, Deadline-Oriented, Travel, Acute Vision, Lifting, Dependability.
  • Complete the Matrix Service Safety training, and Client/Site specific training.
  • Must obtain and maintain active status within the DISA drug testing program.
  • Must pass a pre-employment Background check.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and successfully clear an MVR and driving record review.
  • Must have a current DOT Physical.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs; validating adherence to roadability standards.
  • Load trucks by ordering, placing, and securing items.
  • Delivering items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule.
  • Safely transport passengers using a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate passenger endorsement.
  • Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints.
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, obeying traffic laws, assisting passengers, adhering to schedules, keeping the bus clean, and communicating effectively with passengers and dispatchers.
  • Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
  • Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; scheduling repairs.
  • Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations; cleans truck/Bus exterior and interior.
  • Maintains delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments; recording tracking information; completing driver log and truck performance forms.
  • Work well with supervision.
  • Be able to work around existing underground utilities and tight areas.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervision.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
