About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Poker Supervisor. When acting in the capacity of a Dealer, primary responsibilities are the accurate, professional, and proficient duties in accordance with policy, procedures, rules, and internal controls and in compliance with applicable gaming regulations. Assumes Dual Rate Supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the primary Poker Supervisor due to scheduled days off, paid time off, illness, position vacancy, or emergency circumstances. At no time will a Dual Rate Dealer/Supervisor serve concurrently in the capacity of Dealer and Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of all casino-approved poker games.
  • Knowledge of Tribal gaming rules and regulations for poker operations.
  • Knowledge of Arizona gaming regulations for poker operations.
  • Knowledge of Minimum Internal Controls (MICs).
  • Knowledge of customer service/public relations techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic math and money handling procedures.
  • Excellent coordination and dexterity.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and guests.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to understand and follow through on written or verbal instructions.
  • Must successfully pass a poker dealing audition.
  • One (1) year floor supervisor experience, AND one (1) year Poker dealer experience, or any combination of academic education, training, or work experience which demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Must pass a required math test.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening in accordance with company policy.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a valid gaming license.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Ensures adequate play at each table by making assignments, as necessary.
  • Assists in maintaining the types of games being played, the limit and buy-in.
  • Maintains a comfortable atmosphere in the poker room.
  • Keeps an open communication between other departments.
  • Maintains proper documentation on all transactions through shift reports.
  • Keeps Poker Manager informed of any irregularities.
