About The Position

Highland Elementary School is seeking a highly skilled, collaborative, and results-driven Dual Language Coach to support and strengthen dual language instruction across classrooms. Highland Elementary School is committed to developing bilingual, biliterate, and culturally competent learners by empowering teachers through collaborative coaching, data-driven instruction, and research-based practices that ensure success for every student.

Requirements

  • Valid Florida Educator Certificate required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) required.
  • ESOL Endorsement required.
  • Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably in a dual language or bilingual educational setting.
  • Demonstrated success increasing student achievement in both English and the partner language, including measurable growth on district benchmark assessments, FAST, and other progress monitoring tools.
  • Strong knowledge of dual language instructional models, second language acquisition, biliteracy development, and evidence-based instructional practices.
  • Experience analyzing student achievement data to drive instructional planning and improve student outcomes.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and support teachers through modeling, observation, feedback, and job-embedded professional learning.
  • Experience facilitating Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), collaborative planning, and professional development.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, students, and families while fostering a collaborative and positive school culture.

  • Any applicant who tests positive for a drug as defined in the policies will not be hired.
  • Non-Instructional Applicants applying for some clerical positions will be required to take a Keyboarding Test.
  • The applicants for those positions will have to meet the Word per Minute (WPM) requirement for the given position.
  • All finalists for employment with the School District of Palm Beach County may be required to undergo a background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
  • When an official job offer is made by the School District, additional information and instructions for completing the required background screening will be provided by Human Resources.
  • Instructional applicants will be required to submit the following documents upon being offered a teaching position.
