About The Position

Concord Hospitality is seeking a skilled and proactive Dual Director of Engineering to join our team at the Atlanta Marriott NW at Galleria and the SpringHill Suites Atlanta Northwest. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall quality of the hotel’s infrastructure and systems. The Director will lead the property engineering team while driving compliance, managing capital projects, and supporting team development in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of engineering or facilities management experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • At least 2+ years of experience as a Director of Engineering strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience managing and developing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop maintenance staff in a hospitality setting.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance systems and work order tracking platforms.
  • Effective communicator with strong organizational, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of safety and compliance standards, including OSHA and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all engineering operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and ongoing maintenance of hotel systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and corporate partners to establish and manage department budgets, capital expenditures, and long-term property improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all Concord Hospitality standards, brand requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and fire life safety codes.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and proactively address maintenance and safety concerns.
  • Lead and develop the engineering team by hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance, while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and procurement to ensure quality service and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee renovation projects, capital improvements, and special engineering initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, safety compliance, and certifications.
  • Support the hotel’s Leadership Development Training and contribute to a culture of growth, engagement, and operational excellence.
