About The Position

The Natural & Behavioral Sciences Department periodically seeks qualified, part-time instructors to teach freshman and sophomore-level biology courses. Teach face to face and/or online courses at a variety of days and times. Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material. Use a course syllabus for each course, following established SRSU guidelines. Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and provide prompt feedback on progress. Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and community.

Requirements

• Qualified to teach freshman and sophomore-level biology courses.
• Ability to teach face to face and/or online courses.
• Ability to create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
• Ability to use a course syllabus for each course, following established SRSU guidelines.
• Ability to evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and provide prompt feedback on progress.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and community.
• Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times.
