About The Position

Key Works provides comprehensive substance use disorder treatment and work skills training to help low-income, high-risk patients achieve sustained recovery and rebuild their lives. Key Works is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dual-Credentialed Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will hold both licensure in mental health (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC) and shall meet SUDP/T requirements. This role involves providing clinical treatment services, conducting assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Mental Health or Human Service field with curriculum specifically related to counseling and psychology.
  • If SUDPT, must be working toward completion of all educational requirements and supervised clinical experience that is required to become a SUDP (Substance Use Disorder Professional) or have completed the required training according to WAC 246-811-049 (3) or (4).
  • Experience in working with multi-ethnic populations in outreach, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in addressing issues of sexual assault, domestic violence, and substance use disorders.
  • Counselor with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH).
  • Full licensure or Associate license in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy is appropriate as referenced in WAC 246-809
  • Registered with the Department of Health as a Substance Use Disorder OR Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee in the State of Washington as defined by WAC 246-811-030 through 060.
  • A counseling license that meets the requirements stated above with a co-occurring disorder specialist enhancement as referenced in WAC 246-809-090 and WAC 246-804.
  • Must Maintain current DOH credentials throughout employment.
  • Maintain current CPR/Red Cross certification.
  • Must be able to attain an individual NPI number.
  • Must be able to pass annual criminal history and exclusion checks.
  • Must provide a TB test or screening annually.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mental health conditions in accordance with the most recently published Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (e.g. DSM-5).
  • Delivering all program services related directly to patient treatment and care as assigned by and under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Clinical Director.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans as necessary.
  • Provide mental health services to each patient that is appropriate for their individual care and meets their SUD treatment goals following ASAM, DSM, SAMHSA, WAC/RCW and CARF requirements.
  • Facilitate clinical treatment groups throughout the week with assigned curriculum.
  • Provide individual sessions with assigned patients and monthly progress reviews.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation including screening, assessment, intake, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, status letters, referrals, and discharge summaries of terminated participants.
  • Maintaining and assuring that all other patient records assigned are current, accurate, and in compliance with the Treatment Staff Manual.
  • Conducting interviews and representing patients at court proceedings if designated by supervisor.
  • Working cooperatively and professionally with patients and coworkers.
  • Attending weekly staff meetings, workshops, training sessions as designated by supervisor.
  • Consults with psychiatric providers, ARNP, or chemical dependency and other professionals as needed
  • Answering and directing calls professionally and accurately.
  • Demonstrating highest level of integrity and maintain exceptional levels of confidentiality as outlined in the HIPPA, 42 CFR, Part 2 and 45 CFR federal regulations.
  • Maintaining professional boundaries and set a positive example of behaviors for patients.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other service systems and community members

  • Advocate for inclusion, equity and belonging for all patients and colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
