About The Position

This seminar provides an overview of current research on later life populations and creative living in later life. It offers strategies for engaging older adults in participatory music-making, referencing leisure studies in aging populations. The course also addresses music (singing) and dementia, focusing on current research projects like the “Circle of Music Choir” for individuals living with dementia, their partner caregivers, and teenage volunteers. Students will have opportunities to reflect on their own research in collaborative settings with peers and faculty.
