Requirements
- 5 years+ experience designing FPGA solutions
- BS Electrical Engineering or similar field, Master’s degree preferred
- Embedded software development and interfacing with FPGAs in tightly coupled processor configurations (such as Zynq MPSoCs / RFSoCs)
- Hardware peripheral programming and control for both digital and analog devices
- FPGA build scripts using TCL/Make within virtualized environments such as Docker
Responsibilities
- Communications systems, associated algorithms, and their design, including an understanding of RF filters, signal modulation/demodulation, channel equalization/channel estimation, channel coding (FEC), RF signal acquisition and recovery, RF frequency control (AFC), and RF gain control (AGC)
- Mixed signal requirements including quantization and algorithm fixed point implementations.
- MATLAB, Python, or X-MIDAS tools used for algorithm design / validation and test vector generation
- Vivado design and simulation tools for FPGA architecture design and HDL implementation of signal processing algorithms
