Drywall Maintenance Technician

Summary To maintain existing buildings and equipment in a manner consistent to current building codes, ADA and CARF requirements. To construct any additional fixtures and maintenance needs to above requirements.
Requirements
- Employee must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. If at any time the employee is unable to maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to GESMV’s liability insurance provider, they must immediately notify Human Resources.
- Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
- Customer Service Oriented with a pleasant disposition
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to operations
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well with a broad spectrum of people; including consumers and employees.
- Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision as well as have the ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
- Must be able to follow through with projects and assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, general business instructions, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Nice To Haves
- High School education preferred but not required.
- Two years’ experience in an industrial maintenance position preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical, lighting and power circuits.
- Install and maintain plumbing for light industrial usage.
- Perform light carpentry, drywall and painting as needed.
- Follow sound preventive maintenance for all above equipment.
- Maintain adequate personal hand tools and inform supervisor when such are broken or lost.
- Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
