About The Position

The Drywall and Metal Framing Carpenter is responsible for independently performing skilled installation of metal stud framing, drywall systems, and acoustical ceiling (ACT) systems on commercial job sites. This role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, the ability to read plans, and consistent delivery of high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner. This position also involves leading, managing, and developing field crews on commercial job sites, planning daily and weekly work to meet project schedules and production goals, and ensuring all work meets company quality standards and specifications. The role also includes enforcing safety policies, coordinating with other trades, tracking labor productivity, resolving jobsite challenges, and training team members.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of interior and exterior metal stud framing
  • Strong experience with metal stud framing, drywall systems, and ACT
  • Ability to read plans and manage layout independently
  • Proven ability to lead crews and manage production schedules
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel as required
  • Employment contingent upon passing Drug Test, Physical, and E-Verify

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years in a leadership or foreman role preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling systems per plans and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project documents
  • Perform layout, measure, cut, and install materials with precision
  • Maintain production pace while ensuring quality workmanship
  • Follow all jobsite safety standards and company policies
  • Work collaboratively with foremen, project managers, and other trades
  • Identify and communicate potential issues before they impact production
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
  • Lead, manage, and develop field crews on commercial job sites
  • Plan daily and weekly work to meet project schedules and production goals
  • Read and interpret blueprints to direct layout and installation
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and specifications
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe jobsite environment
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades

  • Train and mentor journeyman and apprentice-level team members
