Mid-Shift Dryer Operator
About The Position
This position involves performing a variety of line duties within a manufacturing environment, including processing, machine operation, and break relief. Responsibilities include operating and monitoring production equipment, ensuring correct materials are used, completing documentation and quality checks, and performing cleaning and sanitation tasks. The role requires troubleshooting operating difficulties, maintaining communication with other departments, and adhering to all company regulations regarding food safety, quality, sanitation, and safety. The requirements described are general and may not be exhaustive; other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of manufacturing/production experience, preferably in the dairy or consumer goods industry
- Must be able to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of line duties within the manufacturing environment to include processing, machine operator, and/or break relief operator jobs (e.g., Receiver, Palletizer, Blend/Filler/CIP/Mix/Packaging/Loader operators). This may include troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance repairs
- Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment on the production line
- Ensure that the proper materials are used for each product being produced
- Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks
- Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format
- Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment; complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run
- Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
- Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s
- Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot
- Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
- Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
