About The Position

The Dry Utility Engineer will assist with design, inspection, and construction associated with site utility electric, natural gas, and telecommunication services. The position will work with site civil engineers on major projects within the DC Metro area.

Requirements

• 2-5 years' experience with electric, gas, and telecom design and construction process.
• Experience making application requests for temporary and permanent electric and gas service.
• Experience with disconnecting existing utilities to prepare for demolition and obtaining raze letters.
• Experience analyzing existing infrastructure for future capacity planning and reporting.
• Experience coordinating with utility companies, owners, MEP, architects, and other design consultants to obtain all documents necessary for design.
• Experience coordinating with GC, inspectors, and handling reconstruction meetings.
• Experience with CAD.
• Familiarity with electrical, natural gas, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Must be organized, meticulous, have strong communication skills, be creative and motivated.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
