About The Position

As a Drug & Alcohol Case Management Specialist with the Columbia-Montour-Snyder-Union (CMSU) County Drug & Alcohol Services, you will help clients move forward with confidence and support. Requirements

• One year as a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist Trainee
• A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; and one year direct service experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting
• A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 18 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, criminal justice or other related social sciences; and one year direct service experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training
• Meet the PA residency requirement
• Be able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments for all referred clients
• Develop service plans and link clients with community resources
• Track treatment progress and conduct required follow-up
• Liaison with providers to ensure coordinated services
• Engage in crisis intervention to stabilize clients
