The Drop Count Associate performs casino drop-count operations in a primarily climate-controlled environment, with some exposure to smoke and noise. The role involves physically demanding work, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Associates must follow strict security and safety protocols, including wearing a uniform, steel-toed shoes, and a dust mask during the counting process. The associate removes full money boxes from gaming machines and replaces them with empty boxes, transports secured boxes to the man-trap area, and completes the drop count by the designated time. Duties also include sorting and counting drop-box contents and other assets, preparing funds for transfer, balancing the bank for Cage department verification, entering information into the computer system, and performing basic equipment maintenance. The associate maintains an orderly work area, follows policies and procedures to protect casino assets, and reports suspicious activity. Cherokee Nation Entertainment operates gaming and hospitality properties and offers employees health and wellness options, financial benefits, work-life benefits, performance incentives, referral rewards, discounts, and holiday appreciation gifts.
