Drop and Count Staff (Full-Time; Sunrise Shift)
About The Position
This position, Drop and Count Staff at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, is responsible for the accurate and procedural handling of currency and other contents from slot and table game drop boxes. Key duties include performing daily slot machine drops and table counts, processing currency, tickets, and coupons according to internal controls. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the count room, as well as performing basic upkeep and maintenance on count equipment such as the G and D Count machine and the Mule, including its daily charging. Additionally, the staff member may be assigned other cashiering functions like NRT machine drops and counts. The individual is expected to uphold the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must demonstrate proven mathematical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to learn and to be adaptable
- Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Six months money handling experience preferred
- Basic mechanical (repair) ability helpful
Responsibilities
- Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
- Perform daily slot machine drops
- Perform daily Table Count
- Process currency, ticket and coupon count for each machine included in the daily drop as prescribed by the Internal Controls
- Maintain the count room, clean and organize for daily drop processing
- Responsible for the upkeep and basic maintenance of the G and D Count machine and other count equipment
- Responsible for the upkeep and basic maintenance of the Mule including the daily charging of the unit
- Perform additional duties as assigned including, but not limited to NRT Drop and Count
- Able to work in environment requiring strong teamwork and communication skills
- Able to answer questions about Harrah’s facilities, services, promotions, and events
- Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
