About The Position

Country Meadows is hiring a Driver in the York (West) area. The Driver transports residents safely to and from appointments and provides companionship and support during trips. This is a PRN, as-needed opportunity during daytime hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with no weekends, evenings, or holidays. Pay starts at $16 per hour, with the opportunity to earn more based on experience. Country Meadows is a family-owned private company based in Hershey, Pennsylvania, with more than 2,500 co-workers. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license and no major traffic violations during the past three years.
Familiarity with the general location and local roads.
Ability to understand and speak English at a level that allows safe, efficient job performance.
Ability to perform under emergency situations.
Ability to perform the physical tasks required for the role.

Responsibilities

Drive residents to and from appointments according to the transportation schedule and the needs of the facility or campus, using the designated Country Meadows vehicle.
Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles and, when necessary, with entering or leaving their destination.
Ensure resident paperwork is delivered to each physician’s office and returned to the nurse’s office when the resident returns.
Support the wellness team by encouraging residents’ independence while providing assistance as needed.
Inspect the vehicle daily for safety issues requiring immediate attention.
