About The Position

The Steve & Sheri Sadek Family Camp Interlaken JCC is seeking a dependable, flexible Camp Driver for the upcoming summer season! Camp Interlaken provides a vibrant Jewish camp environment where summer memories and lifelong friendships are made. In this vital role, you will keep our camp running smoothly by handling essential supply runs to local towns, transporting staff on their days off, and helping out with day-to-day administrative operations. If you are a friendly, highly responsible individual who loves the camp atmosphere, we’d love to have you on board!

Requirements

  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record that meets agency insurance standards.
  • High level of maturity, exceptional safety habits, and the ability to respond calmly and appropriately to emergency situations.
  • A positive, adaptable attitude to handle a varying daytime schedule and changing daily logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills, a high level of confidentiality, and a commitment to being a positive professional role model for children and staff.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • previous professional or high-volume delivery/driving experience is a plus!
  • First Aid & CPR/AED certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive to local towns daily to pick up and deliver requested camp supplies, food, equipment, and mail.
  • Provide safe transportation for camp staff on their days off, alongside occasional camper transportation. (Trips are mostly local, with rare longer runs to Wausau or Milwaukee).
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections (gas, oil, tire pressure) and ensure all vehicles are clean, properly maintained, and stocked with updated first aid and safety gear.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs with our Operations and Maintenance teams, and keep accurate logs of mileage and gas usage.
  • Lend a hand with basic camp operations during driving down-times, including helping with the camp canteen, sorting mail, or assisting with phone reception.
