About The Position

Camp Interlaken is seeking a dynamic Photography Specialist to capture the essence of the summer camp experience. This is a fully residential position from June to August 16th, located in Eagle River, Wisconsin. The role involves documenting daily activities, teaching photography to campers, and leading a team to create the camp yearbook. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a passion for working with children and a love for the outdoors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• 1+ years of experience in digital photography, DSLR/mirrorless camera operation, and photo editing software (Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop).
• Experience working with children, preferably in a camp, school, or recreational setting.
• Ability to meet daily deadlines, manage gear inventory, and handle digital asset archiving.
• First Aid & CPR certification (preferred)
• strong communication skills
• ability to maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately to emergencies.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework or a degree in Photography, Art, Design, Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with yearbook layout design is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Photograph daily camp activities, programming, and special events to showcase the vibrant camp culture.
• Create and implement an engaging, skill-progressive photography curriculum for campers of various ages.
• Daily select, edit, and upload high-quality photos to our website, social media, and password-protected CampMinder site for camp families.
• Direct a creative team of campers and staff to design, organize, and complete the camp yearbook.
• Maintain, inventory, and properly care for all photography equipment and supplies, ensuring safety protocols are followed during activities.
