About The Position
The Driver operates official agency vehicles for the New Hope Shelter, a program providing comprehensive services and safe, anonymous housing for individuals and their children experiencing domestic violence. The role includes transporting clients to appointments and agency-designated “hot spot” locations, assisting with client services, and supporting program activities and rules.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Two years of experience as a driver.
- Familiarity with the assigned driving area.
- Valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record that meets agency standards.
Responsibilities
- Drive agency vehicles safely and prudently, using the most efficient routes to reach destinations.
- Transport clients to and from agency-designated “hot spots.”
- Check vehicles daily to ensure they are in acceptable operating condition.
- Keep the gas tank at least one-half full and fill it at the end of the day.
- Complete required paperwork, including daily logs and route sheets.
- Assist with direct care services and administrative support when not driving.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
