About The Position

Operates facility motor vehicles to complete a variety of pick-up and delivery assignments. Transports residents to scheduled appointments and scheduled trips. Ensures vehicle is maintained in a clean, safe, and mechanically sound operating condition. Trinity Health Senior Communities (THSC) is a non-profit senior housing and nursing care organization. Providence Place at Ingleside is an independent living community and retirement community located in Holyoke, Massachusetts, focused on enhancing the senior independent living experience.

Requirements

Ability to read English and understand written instructions.
Current and appropriate driver’s license required by the State of Massachusetts.
Analytical ability to read and understand instructions, add and subtract numbers, and make comparisons between numbers and letters.

Nice To Haves

No previous experience needed.
Three months or less of on-the-job training and orientation.

Responsibilities

Receives messages to be delivered and picks up items, plans activities so that assignments can be completed in a timely manner.
Walks in and out of various buildings to pick-up and deliver various items.
Operates facility’s vehicles to transport residents to scheduled appointments.
Operates motor vehicles in a safe manner according to all state vehicle laws.
Maintains facility vehicles in good, clean operating order.
Drives facility’s bus for resident’s transportation and drives facility pick-up truck to perform tasks like snowplowing and use of truck-mounted spreader.
Performs limited automotive repairs/maintenance duties and tasks for general maintenance of facility’s vehicles.
Performs all work with a primary focus on safety, follows all safety regulations when performing daily work duties.
