Part-Time Driver
About The Position
The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, courteous and efficient transportation services for the residents of the Community. This is a part-time position, with every other weekend potentially required. The role involves driving residents to various destinations such as outings, health care appointments, and banking. It also includes assisting residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, and helping with loading items. Coordination of community transportation services, including vehicle maintenance and budget adherence, is also part of the responsibilities.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must possess good judgment, time management, decision making, and safety awareness skills.
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license (Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if required) for the state where the vehicle is operated.
- Must have an acceptable Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) record; the record must be checked annually.
- The Community is a drug free workplace.
Responsibilities
- Drive residents to outings, health care appointments, banking and other activities as determined by the Lifestyle Director/Concierge and the Executive Director.
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
- Assist in loading packages, boxes, sacks, etc.
- Coordinate Community transportation services ensuring the maintenance of the vehicles and adherence to the transportation budget and expenditures as directed.
