About The Position

We are Parallel 49 Brewing Company, a craft brewery based in the heart of East Vancouver. We were founded in 2012 by passionate craft beer enthusiasts and have quickly become a staple in the Canadian craft beer scene. We are looking for skilled and interesting people with great attitudes to complement our team while we remain a top employer in Vancouver and the craft beer industry. As a Driver, you are responsible for transporting Parallel 49 Brewing Company products from our facilities to our customers. You will be responsible for loading and unloading the truck and ensuring that the goods are delivered safely and on time. You will need to maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record. This is a temporary position until August 31, 2026. The role is Monday to Friday, hours are normally 8:30AM to 4:30PM.

Requirements

  • Must possess Class 5 Drivers license with a good driving abstract
  • Experience driving a 3 or 5 ton Truck, or Sprinter Van is required
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds safely and consistently is required
  • Able to maintain open lines of communication, follow directions, and be courteous to customers
  • Excellent knowledge of Lower Mainland
  • Ability to operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Comfortable using Email, Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Possess an energetic, positive, personable attitude and a love for craft beer
  • Strong time management and organizational skills required

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of pallet jack experience
  • 1+ years of forklift experience
  • Delivery and/or customer service experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver goods to customers in a timely and safe manner
  • Pick up any returned products from accounts and communicate details to coworkers and supervisors
  • Effectively work with a crew of drivers
  • Efficiently plan your daily route for daily deliveries according to company protocol and schedule
  • Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles
  • Provide exceptional assistance and customer service to all clients
  • Provide a direct line of communication between customers, supervisors and coworkers
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of goods during transportation
  • Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles to ensure they are in good working order
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations while driving and delivering goods
  • Adhere to company operating policies and procedures
  • Other reasonable duties as required
