About The Position

The Temporary Delivery Driver plays a key role in ensuring clients receive their groceries and medically tailored meals safely, reliably, and with dignity. This temporary, full-time, non-exempt, non-union role is expected to last through 12/31/2026 and is based in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle with onsite presence required 08:30AM – 5PM Monday – Friday. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License with an excellent record.

  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated competence, as evidenced through previous experience, working with clients with psychiatric disabilities, chemical dependency and/or life-challenging illness.

Responsibilities

  • Operate agency vehicles to deliver groceries and medically tailored meals to clients throughout the Puget Sound region, which may include other unique stops across multiple counties.
  • Provide respectful, compassionate customer service during deliveries to clients who may be experiencing health challenges or other barriers.
  • Load, transport, and deliver items safely and to prevent damage and spoilage.
  • Plan and navigate efficient delivery routes using GPS and routing tools, accounting for traffic, construction, and client scheduling needs.
  • Follow all traffic laws, posted signs, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and always ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Repack bulk shelf-stable food items for distribution.
  • Assemble grocery bags with fresh produce and perishable goods.
  • Prepare frozen meals for delivery.
  • Receive deliveries of inbound freight and store them while maintaining food safety guidelines.
  • Support general warehouse operations and complete additional tasks as assigned.
