About The Position

The Temporary Delivery Driver plays a key role in ensuring clients receive their groceries and medically tailored meals safely, reliably, and with dignity. This temporary, full-time, non-exempt, non-union role is expected to last through 12/31/2026 and is based in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle with onsite presence required 08:30AM – 5PM Monday – Friday. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Valid Washington State Driver’s License with an excellent record.

Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
Demonstrated competence, as evidenced through previous experience, working with clients with psychiatric disabilities, chemical dependency and/or life-challenging illness.

Responsibilities

Operate agency vehicles to deliver groceries and medically tailored meals to clients throughout the Puget Sound region, which may include other unique stops across multiple counties.
Provide respectful, compassionate customer service during deliveries to clients who may be experiencing health challenges or other barriers.
Load, transport, and deliver items safely and to prevent damage and spoilage.
Plan and navigate efficient delivery routes using GPS and routing tools, accounting for traffic, construction, and client scheduling needs.
Follow all traffic laws, posted signs, and safety protocols.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and always ensure safe operating conditions.
Repack bulk shelf-stable food items for distribution.
Assemble grocery bags with fresh produce and perishable goods.
Prepare frozen meals for delivery.
Receive deliveries of inbound freight and store them while maintaining food safety guidelines.
Support general warehouse operations and complete additional tasks as assigned.
