Driver - Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
About The Position
As a member of SiteOne Landscape Supply’s dedicated team, the Driver operates SiteOne vehicles to deliver products and customer service. The role includes loading and unloading trucks, ensuring products arrive undamaged, and working with teammates to support successful branch operations. Drivers use in-vehicle dash cameras to support driver and public safety; cameras must remain on during working time and may be turned off during off-duty time. The position also involves working within safety guidelines, including lifting and managing heavy objects and working in hot and cold weather. When not driving, the Driver may help maintain store cleanliness and perform other general duties. Compensation depends on factors such as location and experience and will meet or exceed applicable minimum wage laws.
Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Ability to read and write to record and maintain daily records.
- Ability to perform regular bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., stretching, and reaching below the waist and above the head.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- Driving experience.
- Conversational proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of landscape, nursery, and irrigation products.
- Electric pallet jack and/or forklift experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload products for deliveries.
- Make deliveries and ensure products arrive undamaged.
- Operate vehicles in accordance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Perform duties within safety guidelines, including lifting and managing heavy objects and working in hot and cold temperatures.
- Maintain and protect property entrusted to the employee.
- Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working that positively impact business performance.
- Help maintain store cleanliness and perform other general duties when not driving.
- Keep in-vehicle dash cameras unobstructed and operating during working time; cameras may be turned off during off-duty time.
- Follow SiteOne safety and security protocols, including required use of in-vehicle dash cameras.
