About The Position

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL), a member of Genesis Biotechnology Group, is a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory specializing in automated DNA-based molecular analysis, including PCR testing. MDL is seeking a part-time Driver to pick up medical specimens from healthcare facilities. The role operates Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and provides route assistance throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland on an as-needed basis. A company vehicle is provided. The Driver follows routes assigned by the Dispatch Office, retrieves and transports specimens, responds to route updates, and coordinates with local staff to package and deliver specimens to designated locations. The position involves driving long distances, working at pickup sites, and interacting with healthcare facility personnel.

Responsibilities

Drive to doctor’s offices, hospitals, laboratories, and other locations on routes specified by the Dispatch Office to pick up medical specimens.
Retrieve specimens from specimen boxes and healthcare offices or facilities.
Answer calls from the Dispatch Office or local coordinator and respond to route changes.
Communicate problems or concerns to the Dispatch Office or local coordinator as they occur.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Work with the local coordinator to package specimens for overnight delivery to MDL’s laboratories in Hamilton, New Jersey.
Work with the local coordinator to deliver specimens to a predetermined location each day.
Make additional specimen pickups outside the normal route when requested by the Dispatch Office or local coordinator.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Obey all motor vehicle laws.
