About The Position

The Driver safely transports cargo from one branch location to another. The role plans and follows efficient, safe travel routes, delivers cargo on time and accurately, and maintains records for expenses and tracking. The Driver also checks vehicle maintenance and cleanliness, reviews orders before delivery, obtains delivery confirmation when required, handles delivery questions and concerns professionally, and complies with transportation, road, and safety requirements.

Requirements

Valid and current driver's license.
Acceptable driving record.
Ability to safely operate and navigate a vehicle.
Ability to understand and operate GPS technology and other relevant travel applications.
Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment.
Ability to move, push, load, and unload items.
Ability to lift, bend, kneel, crouch, and stretch.
Ability to get in and out of a vehicle multiple times per day.
Ability to walk up and down stairs as necessary.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

Plan travel routes to support timely delivery to each location.
Use local-area knowledge, GPS, and/or mapping applications to avoid high-traffic areas and identify the shortest and safest route.
Arrive at predetermined delivery locations on time.
Transport cargo safely and accurately.
Maintain travel records for expenses and tracking.
Ensure vehicle maintenance is up to date and confirm there are no mechanical issues.
Maintain a clean vehicle.
Review orders before delivery.
Obtain delivery confirmation as required.
Handle delivery questions and concerns professionally.
Comply with relevant transportation and road requirements and safety standards.
