About The Position

Sentara Pace is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Driver. This is a full-time position with day shifts, typically from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The home base for this role is Norfolk, VA, and driving will be done in a company vehicle. The pay range for this position is $16.35 - $23 per hour. Sentara offers competitive compensation packages, including base pay, incentives, and benefits. The Driver will operate and drive automobiles to transport vehicles and patients/visitors within the organization's parking lots and surrounding areas on the property, ensuring adherence to safety rules. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and provide a current driving record with minimal major and minor traffic violations as defined by Sentara, at time of hire, annually, or as requested by management. A CRD93 form is required for authorization to request driving records.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must provide and have a current driving record of minus the major and minor traffic violations defined by Sentara, at time of hire, annually or as requested per management.
  • CRD93 form required to provide authorization for request of driving record, upon hire and annually.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Active Driver's License
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with the frail or elderly (required)
  • Minimum 6 months experience with professional driving (required)

Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive automobiles to transport vehicles and patients/visitors within the organizations parking lots and surrounded areas on the property.
  • Ensure adherence to safety rules.
