About The Position

MTM Transit, in partnership with RTC Access & FlexRide, is hiring full-time, non-CDL drivers in Reno, Nevada. Drivers provide safe, reliable transportation and personalized service to passengers, including older adults and people with disabilities. Training classes begin every two weeks. The hourly rate is $21.06. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid Nevada Class C driver's license, or ability to obtain one within three months of hire.
No DUI or DWI convictions in the last 10 years.
No suspensions or at-fault accidents in the last three years.
No major moving violations within the past three years; four or more minor moving violations within the past three years will be reviewed.
Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening.
Must pass a criminal background investigation and motor vehicle record check.
Valid authorization to work in the United States.
Must provide a resume with at least 10 years of work history.
Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions.
Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules.
Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations.
Familiarity with main roadways and major highways in the service area.

Responsibilities

Provide safe and reliable transportation.
Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Assist passengers with loading and unloading from the vehicle.
Assist with mobility devices and securement according to safety protocols.
Ensure on-time customer pickups and drop-offs.
Show understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
Complete vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required.
Complete required paperwork.
Use tablets or other electronic devices as required.
