About The Position

The Driver delivers vehicles and, in some instances, employees safely and promptly to appropriate destinations throughout Houston and surrounding areas while providing helpful, courteous, and professional customer service. The position is located at 17046 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77090, and starts at $12 per hour. It is a consistent full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Sunday and Saturday are off. The Driver transports fleet cars and vans to and from rental locations, follows written directions, and handles related vehicle delivery and pickup duties. The role may also involve communicating by two-way radio or cellular phone, cleaning vehicles, and performing miscellaneous job-related duties. Enterprise Mobility operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands, along with other mobility and transportation services. The company and its affiliate Enterprise Fleet Management manage a fleet of 2.4 million vehicles through more than 9,500 staffed neighborhood and airport rental locations in over 90 countries and territories.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record, with no more than two at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past three years; one of the two violations or at-fault accidents must fall off within 12 months of employment.
Must have no drug- or alcohol-related conviction on the driving record in the past five years.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
Must have at least 12 consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience within the last five years.
Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than 15 miles from the listed location.
Must be willing to accept $12 per hour.

Responsibilities

Transport fleet cars and vans to and from rental locations and navigate written directions.
Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed, following all rules of the road.
Deliver vehicles to their destinations safely and courteously.
Ride with or follow another driver to drop off vehicles or pick up multiple vehicles.
Organize travel routes using GPS/navigation and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
Communicate by two-way radio or cellular phone as needed.
Clean vehicles as needed.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
